At the Cabin, we concentrate on every child’s personal needs. This way, we can help them develop the social, emotional and practical skills they will need for the very best start.

Why Cabin?
- The Cabin is a friendly local pre-school proud of the individual approach we use for each child in our care. A happy, clean, safe and stimulating place for children to be.
- We have a maximum of 21 children at any time, giving a personal and warm welcome to all.
- We accept all Early Years grants, inclusion and voucher schemes.
- We have a healthy eating policy and offer the option of hot lunches to all children and wholesome snacks throughout the day.
- We invest in new technology and all children have access to a computer with relevant software
- We are fully inclusive and welcome children in nappies, as well as children with developmental needs or disabilities.
- We have an all-weather outdoor area.
Where You Can Find Us
We are situated in the grounds of Woodcote Primary School and have access to the playground, maze and lawns with shaded areas. All these areas are covered by insurance and have been OFSTED inspected. The site is enclosed with safe fencing and gates. We have an excellent relationship with the school and pride ourselves on helping to ease the transition for our older children into school, by providing lots of visits to reception classes and assemblies, particularly during their final term with us.

Our recent (MARCH 2010) “Good” Ofsted report, reflects our commitment to each child’s individual development. This lasts from the day they walk in the door until the day they start school.

We have been commended by Ofsted for the outstanding relationship between parents and the Cabin team. We welcome parental contribution at all times and all our planning is shown on the notice board and parents can access their children’s personal files at all times.
We use the close relationships between staff, parents and children to maintain our child assessment system. Observations of the children in the group are used to draw up a bespoke curriculum for every child.
Throughout their time at Cabin, older and younger children are grouped together, with their own key member of staff. This creates consistency as well as opportunities for the younger children to copy the older ones and the older ones to help the little ones.
Our Hours
We are open from 9am until 3.30pm and offer early starts from 8.30am. We are flexible and children can attend any combination of morning and afternoon sessions with or without lunch.
The Cabin Team
Our team are all CRB checked, with pediatric first aid and safeguarding training. All staff welcome change and undertake regular training to keep up-to-date with government guidelines
